Over the last 15 years healthcare food has been going
through a dramatic quality improvement transformation to the
amazement and surprise of administration, healthcare staff and
especially patients. In many healthcare settings the quality of the
food and service is so good now that patients can’t stop talking
about it. However at the same time healthcare executives are very
concerned about how HCAHPS and Obamacare will affect their financial
bottom line. And, as usual, the food contractors are always circling
waiting for opportunities. Food service management teams continue to
be asked to do more with less creating an extremely challenging work
environment for healthcare food service management teams. Tension
and stress levels on the job are at an all-time high.
At Good to Best 2014 the goal is to define and analyze the nature of
all of our unique current challenges and then provide you with the
information, skills and tools needed to be successful in 2014 and
beyond. You will hear directly from a number of Food Service
Directors about what they did exactly to move through today's
challenges successfully. You will learn what one hospital system CFO
is doing to respond to the challenges to include HCAHPS. All 10 of
the State of California CMS Dietitians will be present and providing
tips on how to comply with all the state and federal government
guidelines for food service. And of course we will open and close
with professional keynote speakers who will enlighten you but also
